explain how Graphic Design B covers the approved record’s six units, the CTE standards and UC area G, and show a reviewer where each is taught.
What this course is. Graphic Design B is the second semester of the full-year CTE course in the Arts, Media and Entertainment sector, pathway A. It is the Open Curriculum Edition of The VR School’s approved UC record FT3CN9, whose prerequisite is Semester 1 (record MQG4H5, our Graphic Design A). The record names a commercial textbook; this edition delivers its units on the CC BY 4.0 BCcampus text, U.S. government sources such as the U.S. Web Design System, Section508.gov, the Copyright Office, the USPTO and the Bureau of Labor Statistics, and SLS-written lessons. A Textbook Edition of the course exists separately; keep sections on one edition.
Six record units in four course units. Typography and grids are taught together in Unit 1, because type is set on a grid and a grid is measured in type (the baseline grid). Color has its own unit. Branding has its own unit. Digital media and portfolios share Unit 4, because the tested homepage mock-up becomes a required portfolio piece. Every student unit lists the record units it covers.
Standards. Across the two semesters every CTE anchor (AME.1-AME.11) and pathway A standard (AME.A1-AME.A8) is cited. This semester leans on AME.A8 (technical requirements of media: typography, color, digital), AME.A5 (commercial applications and portfolios), AME.A4 (evaluation and assessment rubrics, including usability testing), AME.3 (career planning) and AME.11 (portfolio and demonstration). Literacy standards are mostly WHST.9-10.2 (explanatory writing in rationales, style guides and case studies), WHST.9-10.7 (short research in careers and usability), and SL.9-10.4 to 6 (pitches, portfolio defense and interview).
Why it is college-preparatory. Point UC reviewers to the reasoning. Students calculate column widths, baseline grids and web grids; compute color-contrast ratios with the published WCAG formula and accept or reject designs on the results; write a style guide precise enough for another designer to apply; plan and report a usability test with severity ratings; and research careers from primary federal data with every figure dated. Every culminating project is scored at planning, peer-reviewed draft, revised final and presentation, and the year ends with a portfolio defense in a mock interview.

How confident are you that you can show a reviewer where each record unit and standard is taught in Semester B?
