The teacher companion to AI-Inspired Tactile Art A — Machines, Materials and Touch (California), the first semester of a full-year UC A-G area F (Visual Arts) course for grades 9-12, rebuilt on open sources from The VR School’s approved record L8FYP6 and aligned to the California Arts Standards for Visual Arts (2019).
Module 1 covers the semester as a whole: how the course meets the standards, A-G and the approved record; teaching with AI without student accounts, including building the teacher-provided AI image set and meeting California’s student-privacy law; studio safety, materials and pacing; and access, accessibility and integrity. Modules 2-5 take one student unit each: a briefing on what students produce and the misreadings that arrive every year, a facilitation lesson for the critique lab and the production workshop, and a scoring lesson with synthetic student work at three levels and the feedback that moves each.
