Algebra 1A — Data, Linear Equations and Systems is the first semester of a full-year Algebra I course built on the California Common Core State Standards for Mathematics and the Standards for Mathematical Practice.
Four units: One-Variable Statistics, Linear Equations and Inequalities in One Variable, Linear Relationships, Inequalities and Systems in Two Variables, and Two-Variable Statistics. Each unit moves through a launch investigation, a practice lab, a discourse lab where students critique and defend solutions, a modeling workshop with California contexts, and a culminating performance task with a written report and a presentation.
