Teaching Filmmaking and Digital Media B (Open Curriculum Edition) — Delivery Guide & Professional Development
The teacher companion to Filmmaking and Digital Media B — Directing, Post-Production and Distribution (Open Curriculum Edition), the second semester of a full-year UC A-G area G and CTE Arts, Media and Entertainment course (pathway C, Production and Managerial Arts). The course rebuilds The VR School’s approved UC record D594AS on public-domain films made before 1931 and free, open-source tools.
Module 1 covers the semester as a whole: how the course meets the CTE standards, UC A-G and the approved record; directing peers safely and teaching copyright with confidence; pacing toward a finished film and a public screening; and access, privacy, publishing and integrity. Modules 2-5 take one student unit each: a briefing, a facilitation lesson for the critique lab and the production workshop, and a scoring lesson with synthetic student work at three levels and the feedback that moves each.
Semester B ends with finished films in front of an audience. The guide helps you get every student there with cleared music, signed releases and a portfolio they can use.
