The teacher companion to Statistics B — Probability Models and Statistical Inference (California), the second semester of a full-year statistics course for grades 11-12. It takes students from density curves and the normal model through sampling distributions, confidence intervals, significance tests, chi-square and regression inference, to a capstone inference study.
Module 1 covers the semester as a whole: the area C case and the area G fallback, teaching inference with real federal data whose conditions are imperfect (autocorrelation, station changes, non-independent days), simulation-first inference and the language of conclusions, and pacing, tools, access and the optional certification links. Modules 2-5 take one student unit each. Each has a briefing on what students produce and the misreadings that arrive every year, a facilitation lesson for the discourse lab and the workshop, and a scoring lesson with synthetic investigation reports at three bands, the inferential errors they contain, and the one piece of feedback that moves each.
Every number in the exemplars was recomputed from the same NOAA data and simulations the student lessons use, so you can score them against the lesson you just taught.
