Algebra 2 B is the second semester of a full-year, college-preparatory Algebra II course aligned to the California Common Core State Standards for Mathematics and the Standards for Mathematical Practice (UC A-G area C).
Four units: Exponential Functions and Logarithms, Transformations of Functions, Trigonometric Functions, and Statistical Inferences. Students model California’s population from U.S. Census counts, fit a transformed parabola to the Golden Gate Bridge’s main cable, model San Francisco Bay tides with NOAA data, and design, run and analyze their own randomized experiment with a simulation-based test.
