Artificial Intelligence Design and Development A — Machine Learning, Media and the Human Body (California)
Artificial Intelligence Design and Development A is the first semester of a full-year UC A-G area F (Interdisciplinary Arts) course, taught against the California Arts Standards for Media Arts (grades 9-12, Proficient to Advanced) and the CCSS literacy standards for science and technical subjects.
Four units: How Machines Learn, Human-Centered AI: History, Ethics and Authorship, Drawing the Body: The Eleven Organ Systems, and Signals and Diagnosis: Visualizing Vital Signs and Medical Data. Students make explanatory infographics and storyboards, a multimedia history presentation, sculpted and illustrated body-system models, an interactive p5.js data visualization and a patient brochure.
